i was wondering what size tires would fit under my 63 nova and what tires would be better to run (radials or the dot street tires)

You wont get a very big tire under a 63 Nova. Maybe a 225X14 max. Get a good set of radials.

You may get a 235 60 15 on a 4 and a half inch negative offset rim; like the Chevy rallies 7 inch rim. To play it safe go with the 225. Each Nova may vary a little in room you have. Check out ' Scotts Nova Resource'

I have a 63 nova ss, looking for tire sizes also and have been told that it will fit 235/60-15 best, i was hoping that it would fit wider without tubbing the thing, but i think 235 are the best bet with proper clearance-no problems. If you find out anything else let me know, it would be appreciated.

Hey guys, the 235/60's are the biggest I've ever seen in one that's not at least mini tubbed. If you want my opinion, at least mini tub it...hence the name "got 2 be tubbed"! I know it takes a lot more fab'n than most want to do, but the look can't be beat! I'm still mad at myself for only fitting the 18.5's in the back of mine.
