Tool box from Hell finished pic's up
Finally got this project about done. Kinda glad it screwed up the first go around as I like this scheme alot better than the original.
Ain't nothing special,Just a kid's first tool box. My little nephew saw mine and had to have his own. Done by an old guy with a "little" talent doing something besides sitting on the couch drinking beer watching TV. Which I now have time to do. CLICK HERE!! |

It's a messy paint form and after droping several syphon feed bottles got an Iwatta HiLine HPC. Best money I ever spent on paint equipment. It has the adjustible air flow valve at the head. It really helps us newbie's get better controll. Learning the paint reduction is another headache in itself, then the humidity changes.. Paint that shot fine yesterday is spitting and the other paint spitting yesterday is shooting OK today. It will test your paitence. I use the stencils for the basic outline and freehand the rest in as it look's too "correct" with just the stencil blasted on. I picked up some quilting templet sheet's at Wally World in the sewing dept. for making my own. They aren't quite as solvent resistant as the store bought one's but they do a really good job and are cheap. You just have to let them dry out before using them again but they retain their shape well. I got my first dual action airbrush from Harbor for $20.00 to see if I could even do this and for a starter brush is a really good one. I still use it today. Honestly, I'd rather see him using it and getting battle scars than put up on a shelf and admired. Heck, It's only paint.... He's a good kid and already wrecked his little dirt bike. "Mike, when I start it up it goes... WAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAA" " I think it's broke,Can we fix it??" Also, A BIG thanks to YOU guy's for the tip's. Not Craig Fraiser yet but I'm getting there. Great work man I don't know how you guys do that air brush stuff it is awesome. I can barely draw a circle with a pencil and paper. I have actually tried drawing stuff with an air brush (my son's) and I can't even draw a decent circle with it. That stuff takes a special talent congrats man.

nice work, sounds like he has a cool uncle.
there's nothing better that a 7-year-old with his own tools- that don't say "Playskool" on them. |
