top chop

I have a 1949 chevy fleetline, I would like to chop the top. Need instructions, diagrams, any help I can get would be great.

photo chop first

Take some pictures of the car..side and front and rear view with the camera squared up to the car..Tape a ruler or yardstick to the car so you have some guidlines..also you can put masking tape at the places you plan to cut..

blow up the pics to 8x10 and cut them apart and scotch tape the pics back together showing the top chopped..this will tell you a lot about where any problem areas may show up..and where you may need to add a bit to the top or slant some areas or whatever you may need to do..lots of prior planning before cutting is in order..I am working on a chop and this was the best tip I got..
