Top Fuel Dragsters Question?

Alright just outta cureosity say a top fuel dragster had a longggggggg straight away and went on it how fast would the car top out at??

If they are set up for what they do now (1/4 mile) not much faster. But, if they were set up for long running. Look at some of the Bonneville and salt flats cars. Some are thinly disguised dragsters.

Interesting question. I would guess 350 or so is the top speed simply because these engines are basically eating themselves alive from the time they are started. At the end of a quarter mile run, they are done. That is why they are rebuilt after every race.

If Darrel Russels accident is any indication, the tires are one of the the things holding them back right now. Bonneville cars use a different tire.

yea ide guess that too around 350 mph maybe a lil more
