top speed of my car??
My car is a 1977 triumph tr7. SBC 400.Edelbrock E street heads.Aprox 387 H.P. It weighs 2570 full of fluids with me in it. It has 308 gears and a 26 1/2 inch high tires. It ran 11.88 at the drags 2 weeks ago. Went through the finish @ 5000 rpm @ 118mph. The speedometer only goes to 120mph, and the Needle will go well past that point.This little car handles extreamly well at high speeds..mabey do to its wedge shape. Is there some kind of formula that will give me some idea of this cars Top End speed.??

Just a guess is that yours would be a B/GT under SCTA rules and the record for that class is 200.823 at El Mirage..You can take the max rpm gear ration and tire size and calculate the top speed in theory without accounting for tire slip and aero drag..
