I was in Wal-Mart the other day (I wasn't proud of myself!) and noticed that they carry a Torin Black Jack line. I saw they had a 3-Ton Floor Jack and Jack Stand set for $95.
I thought it seemed like a good deal and looked like a decent jack, but I'm unsure of getting a Floor Jack at Wal-Mart.
Have people bought this set? How does the Jack perform? Is it good quality or junk?
I think this is the jack that comes in that set. I'm much more inclined to go with that Arcan Jack from Costco for $89. Seems like a much better value.
Yes, I bought the one you're talking about, a month ago. It was a POS! so I took it back to pep-boys and got the Torin Aluminum Racing jack. and it's def better quality. Same brand, just a better setup.
Don't get the POS stamped steel jackstand, at a minimun this style of 3 ton is acceptable,
I always use the larger 6 ton stands, like the ones above just larger ,Just picked up 2 sets for $24.00 a set.
Avoid this style stands at all cost. that style jack is ok, I've had a craftsman one for about 6-7 years now and its been through hell and back and still does a decent job.
i have a little red jack right now from advance i hate that thing after i used my grandfathers big jack i got a impact from walmart 1/2 drive CH and it wont even break the lug nuts on my car i think theirs something wrong with it 250 ft lbs my *****
The maximum height of the Wal-Mart jack is 17 inches. The maximum height of the Arcan jack is 21 inches. They are around the same price. Of course you need a Costco membership to get the Arcan jack.
i goth the torin jack i posted 100.67 out the door in southeast ky it works good 17.7 inchs high is way up 3.7 low its nice but alittle wide
