torque converter install questions

installed my new TCI torque converter today .
I got the triple thud as the splines engaged.
measured the distance from bellhousing to converter pads and it was good.
bolted to flexplate with no problem.
gear selector in neutral but converter doesnt spin freely as per TCI instructions?
spins one way ok but not the other way?
maybe im reading into this wrong cuz the motor is hooked up to it and im using my flexplate tool to rotate.
engine and all

the motor (epecialy if its broken in) will be hard to rotate in the reverse direction.

you should be fine, if the converter went all the way on and everything bolted up without trouble you should be fine.

If the converter is bolted to the engine you are past the "should spin freely part.
Sounds like you should be fine

The spin freely part is before you bolt it to the flexplate, if you were able to turn it to line up the bolts you are ok.

Another simple trick when bolting everything together is to make sure you have to move the converter forward to bolt it tight to the flywheel. That always works for me.
