Torque specs for SBC Vortec heads

Will the vortec head where you bolt the intake down take 30 ft lbs of torque? They were orginally at 30 ft lbs, then discovered the torque should only be 11 ft lbs.are currently torqued down to 11 ft lbs with a couple of bolts seeming like they are soft, stripped maybe or bottomed out? I am going to clean up the threads and see what happens but wanted to know how much torque can the threads handle. I do not want to remove intake and all the other stuff. Call me a lazy. Retorqued at 11 ft lbs the motor idles at 1400rpm, obviously an intake leak. If retorqued to 30 ft lbs will stop intake leak maybe. Do not want to retorque if I screw up more threads. Hope I explained ok. Thanks in advance for your input.

Those are not 3/8-16 bolts like the old intakes used-They are only 5/16-18 bolts. Not to mention the four outer bolts will crack the corners of the intake off if using a composite gasket like a felpro (been there). No-the bolts can't take 30 lb-ft., nor can the intake itself.

Factory GM vortec intake bolts recommended for factory intake, they are designed to prevent over tightening:

An after market intake can use a standard type bolt at 11 ft/lbs, mine are
5/16-18 x 1 1/2-inch

what kind of intake do you have and what bolts? don't go to 30, if you have already or know you have a leak then just pull the intake and use this gasket set:

FELPRO MS98000T intake gasket is the "problem solver" that can't be beat imo

I have the six pack by Demon. The original instuctin sheet they sent with the setup was for std heads, not vortec, I did not catch it in time, torqued to 25 or thirty lbs and then discovered later there were different specs for vortec heads. Thanks for your responses.
