torrington bearing

I already checked the archives.
I just bought a new nine key cloyes timing set with torrington bearing. The instructions as well as the website does not cover the bearing. It is the style that does not require block machining.

Question
Which side of the bearing faces the block?

The open part to the cam gear the closed or wide side to the block.
