towing problems

i have a buddy who was towing his prize trans am on a car dolly and while he was driving home he went to stop at a light and the car shot up onto the dolly and ripped the exhaust off and might have done more damage.
has this ever happend to anyone else? i have never seen anything like it and the worst part was the only way to get it off the dolly was to put the ebrake on and pull the truck forward and rip the car back off of it.

Obviouslly, it wasn't strapped down properly.

One time, a car that I was flat towing with a tow bar passed me. Thank God, it didn't hit anybody. Ended up in the ditch....on the other side of the road.
