I like to wire it to a switch and still keep the auto kick on feature. That way if you know your going to be heating up you can pre-turn the fan on. I have always thought that they wait too long to bring the fan on. When I had my celebrety the fan came on at 240 so I put a switch on it and at 200 I would turn it on. That way it never got to 240. But when my wife was driving and she never looks at guages it would still come on at 240 to protect the engine. I even tried to get a lower temp switch but couldnt seem to get one from the local stores.
