Common price for a 5.3L (more common swap) complete with out the computer is about $400, the computer is usually about $100 more.

LS2s, LS3s, even LQ9s etc. will command a little more than an LS1 out here because of the added displacement, $1500 for one of those is common out here.

Market prices do vary.

I'm sure they do, and availability out here has a lot to do with it. My LS1 is the only one on craigslist between Seattle and Northern Cali at the moment.

You won't find an LS1 on ebay for less than 2k once you've got shipping figured in.

I've gotten a few emails/calls saying people will just get them locally cheaper than my asking price, and I encourage them to, but the fact of the matter out here is, none are available, otherwise they wouldn't have called me in the first place.

Not sure where you've seen a good running LS1+T56 for $1500, but that's just insane. Up on ebay the T56 alone would command $1500. LS1+T56 packages are selling for 2500+ on Ebay and LS1Tech.

Makes me nervous about it. Usually when a deal sounds too good to be true, it usually is
