TPI / speed signal sender

I'm in the process of wiring my truck. I added a 327 and swapped the carb for TPI. I also installed a set of bedee 5" guages. I hooked up the speed sensor (3 wires, black, red, & white) over the weekend but noticed that the TPI harness has a two wire hookup(grey & yellow I think) thats supposed to be spliced into the speed sensor. Can anyone tell me which wire goes where?

This question doesn't make sense. What are you calling a speed sensor? The speed sensor on the trans? The air/mass/density sensor in the intake? What kind of a truck? Is the TPI an aftermarket or a factory TPI? If factory did you change the whole harness, PCM and all? If aftermarket you should have a wiring diagram.

Sorry for not being more specific. I meant the speed signal sender that attaches to the 700r4. I have a 327 that I added TPI in a '50 Chevy 3600. the harness has two wires marked for the signal sender but I don't know which wire goes where.

The speed sensor should only have 2 wires coming out of it. Are you sure you have the correct sensor? It should be in the trans tailshaft on the left side. What did the trans come out of?

So the speed sensor is an aftermarket sensor that came with the gauges? They should be able to tell you how to wire it. I thought we were talking about an OEM style speed sensor. Sorry I can't really help you.
