Traction Bars or Ladder bars

Hi all, I have a 72 Chevelle with a set of Lakewood traction bars in the back. I was thinking about going to ladder bars, but I've never used them before. The car will spend most of its time on the street with the occasional 1/4 mile blast at the track on weekends. Will I hook up better with ladder bars, or are traction bars just fine?

Hows it hook up right now? Ladder bars are fine and if you use bushings at the end to prevent binding. I built my own set for my 71 Chevelle. They work great. It is hard to tell if they would hook up better then the lakewoods because before them I only have stock arms. My suggestion to you would be get your shocks and springs set up so as to hook the best you can. For a car that is on the street most of the time it wouldn't be worth the time and money to go to ladder bars.
