Traffic light veiwer

I really don't want to ask a stupid question, but here it is. Recently bought a guide traffic light veiwer to install in my 34 Ford P.U. It came with mounting stud only,no arm. My question is, where do you bolt this devise? On the dash, firewall or what? Really would like to install it, as I,m 6'3
and when I,m wearing this P.U., I can't see traffic lights. Thanks. R.J.H.

mounts on the dash. Position so you can see the lights in it.

RJH:

They mounted on the dash board, about the middle of steering wheel, in line of sight, so that you could see almost straight up. I have a plastic one on a suction cup in my Shay roadster because it has a straight SHORT windshield. An old timer told me that if you have a shiny finish on your hood you can see reflection of stop lights in paint.. never thought about that but it does work. THERESA

traffic light viewer

Your unit is incomplete. They came with an adjustable bracket of sorts that usually mounted to the windshield reveal inside molding using one of the sheet metal screws that held the reveal on. As I recollect, they mounted to the left of the dash, and were adjusted to view the light from that position. That way, they didn't obstruct regular vision.
