Tranny cooler lines

I just finished rebuilding my 700r4 out of a 89 suburban and I'm in the process of hooking up the external cooler lines. Is there supposed to be an o ring that fits on the tranny side? It's a stock application with the flared steel lines.
Thanks

if you are talking about a rubber o-ring inside the fitting where the steel line threads into? Nope , no O-ring there. Flared fitting design seals up

Thanks for the response. No o-ring it is.
