Post tranny coolers

Would like to know if anyone has had good or bad results with a "heat sink" type tranny cooler on a street rod (or street driven car). We're building a street rod & because of the limited space, thought this might be a desireable application. Forgot to add that this is a 700R4 behind a ZZ4, in a '30 Chevy 2 door sedan, weight should be approximate 2400-2500 pounds. Thanks for your help...

They work fine but don't have the heat rejection capabilities of a radiator style cooler, for the weight of your vehicle depending on usage I would say it sounds like a marriage made in heaven. One thing I do like about these coolers is they are duarble and can take a rock or two without leaking. Running boards are a natural mounting location.
