Tranny ID help please

Trying to help a guy ID this tranny. It came out of a '91 caprice police car supposedly. I cked the handy pan chart from the data base, but can't really tell much from his crappy picture! LOL Any thoughts? Thanks.

Cool

Well it is a crummy photo.

With that said , if the tranny came out of a 1991 caprice cop car, it is a 4L60 / 700r4.

If it is a cop tranny It would have a low gear restrictor bracket bolted onto the pan bolts near the shifter. It does not allow shifting to manual low gear in police applications

Thanks to both of you for the info. I tried to enhance the photo the best I could with what he had. He thought it was a TH350, but I didn't think so.

Last question, is a 700R4 and the 4L60 the same thing?

thanks again.
