tranny slipping 3rd gear.....

a couple of friend thought that it would be funny to steal my car last night, without me knowing, and take it for alittle joy ride. with my stall converter, which they dont know how to use, i think they had it in neutral and was reving it up to 2500 RPM and dropping it down into gear, which is totally wrong! people and not know how to drive muscle cars. but now when im shifting when it hits 2nd gear, it still gets the 2nd gear scratch, but when i shift into 3rd i can feel it slip. did they drop my tranny at all? but thanks for anything you can tell me.

Cody

With friends like yours, who needs enemies.

Sounds like they did something to your trans. Probably overheated it and did some damage to the 3rd gear bands or clutches.

I would do 2 things...

1/ Get your friends to get it fixed. Would probably teach them a lesson if it cost them a few bucks.
2/ Find new friends.
