Not to bad especially if you a donor car same year. I just finished my 67 firebird, had a turbo
400, and put in 4-speed. For mine all my linkage underneath, bolted to frame(my frame had hole location already there)Pivot arm bolts to frame other side pivot arm is pivot ball bolt. The clutch pedal slide on don't forget the retaining clip. same crossmember, standard and 350 I believe are same lengths(maybe different yoke, maybe same yoke)You're rear-end gears are extremely important if say you have 2:56 you're going to have to change complete rear ends to say 3:08,3:23,3:55 I'd stay away from 4:10,4:11,4:56, If you like to drive your car. You're Chevelle should be quite similar, Donor cars are a good time saver especially if it's optioned the way you want. Hope this helps if there's anything I can help post or e-mail. good luck, (by the way, my firebird 67-convertible, 428 HO, 4-speed, 3:55 limited-slip rear-end, feels like I added 100 HP also car has factory cast iron headers, and a 455 polished aluminum intake, |
