EDIT: now lets say i go with a 4 spd auto, what fits, and will i have to get kickdown rods, manufacture things? Also, Im thinking of adding a tranny cooler, suggestions? Id LOVE to make it a street/low strip truck [ May 25, 2003: Message edited by: type_zero ] [ May 25, 2003: Message edited by: type_zero ]</p> |

I assume your talking about a two wheele drive.I got a reply from Paul Poirie that may help, its posted uder replacing 700r4 in f-body with th350 with 9"tail shaft.I dont know what you have for a 3speed but if its long shaft th350 the 700r4 4speed auto will work with your drive shaft, and you will need to get a different detent cable a buddy of mine made the same swap in his scottsdale with not much diffaculty. If it were me building a street\strip I would use a 3speed th350 or th400 they are tougher.
