Tranny Temp Guage = Oil Temp Guage?

I have a set of electronic guages in my car from the local wholesale store(Princess Auto). They aren't the cheap $10 for 3 guages, they're almost $30.00 each. They seem to work great the only problem is they don't have more exotic guages such as tranny tempurature. Mind you they got boost and air fuel ratios for all the ricers out there and people trying to turbo their cavaliers...

Anyway, right now I have engine oil pressure, water temp(in head), voltmeter, and tach. I'm hoping to build a center console very soon which will hold 2 more guages. I was thinking an engine oil temperature and a tranny temperature guage. Can I just buy another oil temperature guage and put it in the tranny pan?

I'm running a stage 3 th350 with a full manual valve body and 2500 stall converter. By Sept there will be a 400-450 horse 350 turning it. I would like to keep an eye on temperatures.

Here's a picture of my guages right after I put them in. Yes I've cleaned my car since these were taken

Yes, you can use the oil guage and sender for the trans. You'll just have to make a place in the pan, below the fluid level, to install the sender.

I"m also glad you cleaned the car!! LOL

Thanks,

I just wanted to make sure before buying another guage. Some automotive fuels have weird after affects on parts that weren't designed for specific uses.
