Trans Am Rear Sub Frame Rails Are Rusted out

I have a 1980 Trans Am in great shape except that the rear subframe rails are rusted out pretty bad. The body isn't twisting or sagging yet but it will probably happen eventually. So I'm wondering what kinda process it would be to swap in a new rear subframe. I really don't wanna scrap this car, it's too nice for that. But I'm no expert mechanic either.

A guy told me it's really easy and you just undo some bolts in the trunk and a few others and the whole rear end and subframe rails will come out. But then I've heard that you need to cut the old one out and weld the new one in. I can't weld but I know a guy that can, and I was thinking what if I got him to patch up the current frame with some metal. Would that be a good idea?

I found this on Jegs, http://www.jegs.com/i/Competition+Engineering/247/3013K/10002/-1
Would that be what I need to replace the rear frame rails?

Here's a pic of the drivers side: http://i42.tinypic.com/2ez789d.jpg
Any help is appreciated.

Those pieces along w/possibly a new trunk floor will do the job- but like the ad says- "Note: Welding and fabrication required".

There are other more complicated rear suspension set-ups like 4-links, etc. that could be used, but they will require even more fabrication and money to do right. Guys tend to use them if a high HP engine and drag racing are the plan, along w/a roll cage and tubs to fit wide tires w/o fitment probs. If you just want to replace the bad metal, the simpler replacement parts will work.
