Why would you need a trans cooler for 2 minutes of racing?

4-jaw is exactly right. For strictly racing only what is a cooler going to do in 8.3 seconds. On the other hand if you drive your car regularly on the street like I do and run a cooler to help with the high rpm's you certainly wouldn't want to remove the cooler to race. If you run on the street a cooler can do a lot to reduce trans temps, but for strictly track only wouldn't worry about it.
