trans leak

76 F/bird 350 eng. th350 trans . Looks to be the dipstick tube seal leaking . What am I looking for ,an o-ring or some other type of seal ? Any suggestion on where to get one ? If it' an o-ring ,what size ? Thanks

first off you need to take it out and see what you have then go to the auto parts store and pick it up. this is a no brainer simple stuff.

When you replace it, add a little sealer.

I just thought there was a certain size for it but it seems like you have to have the part with you to match up .

I'm a little suspicius of the shift shaft also . How much trouble is that to replace as long as we're in that area ? Thamnks
