trans problems

hello Im not exspert on all thing but i drive a dodge with overdrive and i have found the if you let it set for a few seconds before you drop it in drive it will work better but I have allso found that the problem with it rolling backwords on a sloop is caused by the bands not adjusted right or the idle is to low or the pump is weak. so what I would do is take it back the the dealor and have them replace the trans before it goes out of warienty, from what I have found out the overdrive pump is getting bad,, one tip for the use of your truck if u haul a trailor or any thing in the order take it out of overdrive while driveing down the road in town and if its a heavy load take it out of overdrive on highway driveing also this will give it longer life of the trans make sure you change the trans oil and filter every 10,000 to 15,000 miles and this will help in the life of trans
