i was lookin a magazine at a transbrake if u dont know what it is it locks up first gear and reverse which brings your stall converter directly up to stall speed and u let go and u launch off a little faster than usual, its like holding the brake but if u have good traction u wont spin the tires puttin it to the floor
i think this is cool as hell to put in and try it but i want to know other peoples opinions about them that might have used them before please give me some feeback on them before stupid me puts it on and blows my tranny |

Never put a brake in a stock tranny or any tranny with some miles on it... It is hard on the tranny, IT WILL REDUCE TRANNY LIFE!

My C4 with a brake gets clutch life of approx 50-75 drags, thats it... a small block wont be so hard on it, but still itll be bad...

you could run boneyard trannys with the brake, but if it's takeoff you want, i'd change over to a stick with a centerforce clutch/pressure plate and a richmond gear six- speed. it'll be cheaper in the long run than changing the brake onto a different tranny every few days.
