which transmission is better. a 700r4 or a powerglide. i got a 86 camaro which would be better

the 700R4 is worlds better than the powerglide. powerglides have 2 speeds, low and high, the 700 has 4, a low 1st gear for a good take off, and a overdrive for gas mileage and quieter operation. if your camaro weights under 2900 pounds and had a high horse power engine with low rear gears and a high stall converter, it would ET quicker with the glide. but for everyday transportation, there`s no comparison.
