Transmission ID
Hi A friend just bought a 1967 Dodge Dart GT with a 318, it has a race ratched standard 4 speed that is worn out and he wants to change it. He wants to put in a Hurst 4 speed but the distributers say they need to know what type of trans is in it now and he doesn;t now for sure. They say it could be 2 or 3 different ones? Here is a coupe of numbers that are stamped on the trans. G99129-2, G99129-H, 2B458393, UFG99386 and PP83-3053. and idea what make it is?
Thanks |

Simple to tell the NP833 and NP435 apart: The four-speed NP435 has an aluminum top cover, a cast-iron case, and a tower shift and is a top-loader. The four-speed NP833 has a side shift cover. |
