Transmission ID number location on a 1998 k1500
I need to know where the transmission identification number is located on a 1998 K1500 with a 4l60e transmission.

Tag glued to top of case if you are looking for the general assembly number of the transmission. If you are looking for a serial aka identification number, there is none that I know of, though there is a date code stamped to the pan rail on most units.
