RFE stands for rear wheel drive fully electronic, so that is the automatic, the other designation must be a manual 5 speed

W5A580 is the Mercedes 5 speed automatic.
Just don't know which is attached to the 5.7 hemi
I bought on Ebay. There is a Bar Code on the Xmission,
but don't know what that means. Has a Flang on the Rear of
the xmission where the drive shaft attaches. Thoughts are
it's a Mercedes 5 speed, Guess I'll have to pick the Dodge
Mech's brain. Thanks so much for your response.

you mentioned in your other thread that it had a cable coming from the trans. the 5-45RFE does not have this, but the 722.6 or W5A580 does for the park lock.
how many bolts hold the pan? 6, its the mercedes trans, if a lot more, 5-45RFE
