Question Transmission Leak on a T350

Hello, this is my first post. I have a '69 Chevelle with a 355,T350.
After running the car I have noticed trans.fluid leaking from where the filler tube enters the transmission. Is there a rubber seal in this location and if so how do you remove the tube and replace the seal?
Also, do T350's have vent tubes to relieve pressure when running? Could this be a cause of the leak mentioned above?

Thanks for any help

The TH350 uses 2 different types of tube seals. The older ones used an "o-ring" that was part way up the tube where it goes into the tranny, its not the best.

Later ones use a big long rubber "tube" looking seal that goes down into the tranny about 3/4" and works great. You can get a new tube and seal at your local dealership. Tube comes with a new style locking, positive sealing stick too.

The 350 does have a vent on the top of the tranny, but they rarely leak from there unless you have severly overfilled the tranny and it foams up and comes out, or if you really overheat one.

( the guy that just finished his first TH350 overhaul and hopes for the best but admits he knows very little! )

One thing that happens with the fill tube on these transmissions is the tube will crack right where it bulges out at the transmission case. If you pull it out to replace the seal look real close there.... Like mark said buy a new tube and the seal.....

A sure sine of plugged vent is if when your putting fluid in, it goes down real slow.
