Transmission rebuild kits & sources

I'm considering swapping my TH350 for a 4 speed manual in my full size gm truck, but that swap looks a bit daunting. I might just keep and rebuild the TH350 after all. (or find 700r4)

Does anyone know a good supply of full rebuild kits for these? I cant afford $1500 to have my local rebuilder do it

I got a kit off ebay about $80 . I did not replace all the sleeve bearings . Just the ones that were easy. It wasn't that worn just been laying around and had water in it. I got a rebuild book $20 on amazon and with the help on this forum I made it thru and works great on my sedan.

look up there should be local shops for this i just did my trans in my f350 i used a Daaco triple disk with a 1200 stall all Borg Warner clutches bands new bushings everything just about except for the hard parts i also threw a shift kit and new solenoid pack, it cost about about $900 dollars from a local trans parts dealer and they where more than happy to sell me all the parts, and what drove my cost up was the converter and the solenoid pack if i used a cheaper converter and rebuilt solenoid pack i would of only have spent like $600

Thanks guys - on a scale of 1-10, how tough would you say it is to rebuild a TH350? I want to do it right with premium & hardened parts, shift kit etc.....

The TH350 is much easier & cheaper to build than the TH700R4.
