transmission swap
i got a 57 235 chevy stovebolt. i want to swap out the trans for a newer one. i read that a 80's late model s10 trans with an external clutch will bolt up to a 235 bell housing with minor adjustment. i can get my hands on a 85 chevy s10 4 speed standard trans with the external clutch. will it bolt up work? i do know there will be drilling involved and proper spacing knowing the input shaft is longer then the original.
