Transmission and would like to learn year car it is out of
I purchased transmission and would like to know what year car it is out of.
the name tag has these numbers on it. PKAAG20 168831-E25 E3AP-AA

Not enough information to determine exact year. All that we know with those numbers is the it was engineered for 1983 or later vehicles.
Find the VIN number on the transmission and we can give an exact year. VINs can be just about anywhere and they seem to move to a different location every few months. And many times they are impossible to read because of background "noise" on the case where they are located.

A little more information would also be a help. Perhaps manual or automatic, front drive or rear, number of forward speeds.
