Trash Screen

In a book that I have on BBC's it talks about installing a "Trash Screen" in the middle of the oil galley so that anything broken doesn't fall through.

I've browsed numerous catalogs and I've never seen anyone sellng anything like this. What are they using? And how is this fastened?

Not real common. Why do you think you need one?

I don't know. In the book it said it's good insurance, even for street motors. Seems like a good idea, especially since BBC's have that big gapping crevice down the entire length of the block...I mean with a SBC, if you snapped a pushrod, it wouldn't go very far.

anymore thoughts on this?

Jegs sells the screen kit and it is good insurance if you are running a roller cam, i don't think its worth the trouble with a regular camshaft.
