Tri bar headlights

My 36 pickup has the old sealed beam headlights. During my rewire I would like to change these. I see those tri bar headlights with colored dots. I have blue dot tail lights and thought these would look great. I see on some of the sites they mention they are or are not legal. How do I find out what is legal or if they are legal in Iowa?

Ask your local Cops for that one. The Tribars lights are legal just the blue dots on the headlights are a no no. Depends if the officer got a stale donut that day.

Hello fellow Iowegian!!! Blue dots are illegal in Iowa...However...I know several people who run them and aren't hassled by the law. Not to say they never will be (refer to stale donut comment). I even have a set on my Harley and have never been stopped.
