Post "Tri - Five" Lowering

I don't see much by the supply shops for dropping a Chevy pickup with straight axle.
I've got a '57 that I'd like to put spindles on, if I could find them - anyone have any resources?
or reasons why they're not around? - other than the popularity of IFS Setups?
There are lowering shackles for the rear from No Limit for about $50.... any other trick methods for the rear end?

I lowered my 57 by moving the rear spring mounts. It was a job, grind of the rivets and drill holes in the frame and bolt it back on. I had the bed off at the time. the front is from a 70 firebird.I would add a picture if someone can tell me how.

My dad lowered his 53 chevy truck with a set of monoleaf springs. It is like 2 inches lower, rides better and handles better.
