triangulated 4 link on a gm 10 bolt
i did a quick search and couldnt really find what i was looking for, i have a gm 10 bolt that i would like to put a triangulated 4 link on, all the pics that i see and the directions ive looked up say to weld the top tabs to rearend housing, on the 10 bolt the housing is cast iron and i dont want to risk welding to that, can i weld the tabs to the axle tubes as close as possible to the housing? if i cant do that, could i possible weld in a bracket to the axle tubes that goes over the housing and weld the 4 link tabs to that?
any help on putting a triangulated 4 link on a gm 10 bolt is appreciated thanx |
Truthfully the easy way is to locate and use a 10 or 12 bolt from a GM car that was originally set up for a triangulated 4 link such as the A or G Body. They already have the brackets there.
