tricked out

didn't know what forum to put this in, but anyway...

just curious, what kind of things have you guys done to your cars to make them different and unique? suicide doors, hidden handles, paintjobs, etc. i know HK's probably got some good stuff.

I ripped off the right front wheel well trim. Smashed both bumpers. Tore the front seat. Leaked oil over the motor. Got mud on the floor mats. Frayed the vinyl top.
I totally customized it to look like a 1990 $1500.00 car!

different and unique rides

I put different wheel covers on the front and rear, tore off the gas door, cut the rusted part off the bottom of both doors, dented the valve covers and flipped the top of the air cleaner over so the engine makes this cool noise when I accelerate.

i've got a 54 ford truck on a 77 malibu classic frame, the roof is chopped 6 inches, door handles shaved, three inches were removed from the center of the truck between the the top of the fender, and the top of the fender well. there are rear quarter flares from a 73 firebird attached to the front fenders to accomodate wide tires.the box has been removed and in its place i made a box out of the trunk of a 57 cadillac, trimmed it out and made a box liner for it.got 50's on the rear and sixties on the front.also the frame has been trenched to lower it even further. the interior has two high back bucket seats with a console shift.
hows that for flucked up??? mikey . dont wanna post any pics until its done though. maybe in another five years..

Lets see...hmmm. Well, there's the yellow stickers...and the toy dog with the bobbing head in the back window (they are back BTW!) and then there is the wing I erected on the trunk on top of the old wing on the SHO. Did I mention the synthetic fluids and the light up tire pressure caps that blink when your moving? Of course I can't forget the house numerals spelling all the family's names stuck on the dash. Compass and inclinometer combo gauge along with the dingle fringe around the top of the windows. CD dangling from the rear view mirror and McDonalds toys stuck on the dash.

Did I mention the yellow stickers? Thhhhhh ...sexy!

I tried to shave the handles but I could not find a razor that was large enough. Next I started to chop it, but that too was a problem. Have you ever tried to put a car on a chopping block? Then I decided what the heck I'll channel it. I love good ole channel cat, deep fried and a cold beer. I tried digging it out and filled it with water and went fishing to catch some nice pan size channels. When I got home all the water had leaked out of the nice new home that I had made for the fish, soooo, I took them inside and fried them drank a beer and started to dream about what to do with my car. Then I woke up.

My 55 Chevy truck is a close knit collection of parts:
76 Elco frame
72 Olds 455
78 Nova rear end
Back Body from Home depot
Home made grill
painted in a barn

The thing in my avatar is a
39 Dodge frame
65 Chevy 6
72 nova 350 and rear end
Hand made everything else
31 Buick cut down grill shell
36 ford PU bed
(They are both in my photo album)

My daily driver is a 78 Malibu wagon w/ custom paint, mags, and Wal-Mart sound system. (Doros don't lock so good) It is the BEST riding car for long hauls. I have a 97 Mini van as well, but that just ain't me!
