Trique Manufacturing bear claw latch install

Just thought I would let you all know what we have going over here at Trique Manufacturing. We have been developing vehicle specific bolt-on bear claw latch kits for early model cars and trucks. We have several Chevy and Ford truck models available and we have nearly completed the 38-40 Ford Coupe. We have set up a page that allows you to communicate to us which kits you would like to see developed. This is a picture of a 1956 Chevy Truck install we did. These kits are made to fit beautifully.

My original post went against some of the forum rules and for that I apologize. I had my user name changed to fit within guidelines, the image is not hosted on our websites server so there is no sneaky contact information being passed along. I had no intention of breaking any rules with my post and apologize again for doing so.

As far as the Altman Easy Latch Kits go we do not have a time line for that model decided. With enough requests we will look into it though. That is the purpose of our sign up section of our website. It allows people to suggest future kits and gives us the ability to prioritize which kits to develop next. As far as other products we have door pulls, handles, interior lighting, etc.

Stupid Bearclaw latch question on the latch function. Can you close the door with the inner lock knob down without holding the outer door handle? Or do you need to hold the outer handle as you close the door?

Thanx

Neither way will work actually. Bear claw latches are rendered inoperable once you lock the latch. If you lock the door before closing it, it will not latch. You must close the door prior to locking it.

Hope this helps.

The image I placed in this post was removed and it was stated that it was removed due to a violation of forum rules. Can it be explained to me which rule was broken? The only rule that I have broken that I can see involves my username. I have PM'ed the site administrator and asked that to be changed. The image that was removed broke none of the rules listed below.

1. If you own or work for a hotrodding company, you CANNOT place company contact information for YOUR company in your posts. "Company contact information" includes:

* company urls
* company email addresses
* company phone numbers
* physical addresses for companies

2. If you own or work for a hotrodding company, you CANNOT place company contact information for YOUR company in your username, location, custom user title, signature, avatar, journal, or in photos you post on the forums or in your project journal.

3. If you own or work for a hotrodding company, you CANNOT aggressively promote YOUR company or its products or services.

Looks like number three to me.....you use a dot com user name then tell all about your products and ask people to visit your website which happens to be your username....then pictures. Its subject to interpitation I know, but to me....it looks like aggressive promotion. You could PM the moderator that removed the pic and ask him.

bear claw latch update?

hey triquemfg.....what's the timeline looking like for the 47-53 style latches? Been on the list for some time, but could really use those soon! Specifically, the pull down latch style. My vehicle is painted out already, so these would be perfect. i haven't seen an update on the blog in a few months, any info would be great!

Thanks:

We have made some really good progress this past week, but it is still a little early to give you a definite time line. It is getting really close now though when there were worries that we may not be able to do it at all. Good news is everything is looking up at this point. I will update the blog as soon as I have some solid info to relay.

Sometimes when I only change or blank out a few letters of a phone number or a web site, and then hit "submit reply", it shows the reason for editing as "general forum guideline violation" down at the bottom. I have also had that same thing happen when all I did was change the spelling of a word so that a post makes sense.
