A little bit of March Meet history.
The first March meets was sponsored by?:
What year?:
Who was paid money to appear and thus promoted the race beyond many expectations?:
Did the paid racer win?:
When was the last March Meet held before taking a 5 year hiatus and returning as a nostalgia drag meet?:

Let's see if I got this right.

The first March Meet (U.S. Fuel and Gas Championships) was sponsored by the Smokers Car Club

The first March Meet 1959

Don Guilt's was paid $2000.00 guarantee against his winnings to appear.

Garlits did not win. Art Chrisman beat Tony Waters in the final

The last March Meet was held in 1988 returning in 1994 as a part of the Good Guys schedule.

Good Day All.
In keeping with the time of year here is my submission.

What year did the NHRA move the Nationals to Indy?

Who won Top Eliminator?

Who did he beat in the final of Top Eliminator?

You know the problem I have is asking a question that I haven't already asked! It's like I am all out of questions, is that possible?

I think this question would be for '61. I went in '62, but heard about it.

Who dug holes in the staring line, and they had to stop the races for repairs?

Thanks.

Name the car company and the two models referred to.

One manufacturer seems to be heading in the wrong direction. They had one car which was reported to be more aerodynamic when the car in question was put in the wind tunnel backwards. On another car, they installed a rear bumper on the front because it was more aerodynamic that way.

Manufacturer? Model 1? Model 2?

aerodynamics

Actually quite a few cars are supposedly more aero backwards than forwards, due to air intakes etc at the front. The most famous for this are the old Austin Allegro, and the Porsche 928, but it is said to be actually true of many cars.

However, if I had to guess I'd say the manufacturer was Chevrolet and the cars were:
(Model 1) the Gen II Corvette of the late 50's and
(Model 2)the Camaro of somewhere around 1970

Just guessin'
