Actually quite a few cars are supposedly more aero backwards than forwards, due to air intakes etc at the front. The most famous for this are the old Austin Allegro, and the Porsche 928, but it is said to be actually true of many cars.
However, if I had to guess I'd say the manufacturer was Chevrolet and the cars were: (Model 1) the Gen II Corvette of the late 50's and (Model 2)the Camaro of somewhere around 1970 Just guessin'
