I am challenging myself with no googles on these questions.
How about 1909 in New York? New York City seems to come to mind, and definitely pre-teens.

I don't know, some how we are still bright an sparkly when you are fast asleep.

I think that the first stop light was installed in Cleavland and I will go with 1914 since that was close
