Nope, did they even put a four barrel on the Special? I don't know but that isn't the answer.

Hi,
As far as I can remember the Buick special didn't have 250 Hp until 1957 w/the 364ci engine, 250Hp w/2bbl, 300 w/4bbl. the Buick specials only engine was a 264ci engine, Buick's economy
bid in that era, 53-56
Rich

Hi
The 1941 Buick had what was called a four barrel carb, it was actually two, two barrel carbs with progressive linkage.
And the Buick Special w/the 264 CI engine didn't come with a four barrel carburetor. No four barrels for the special until 1957 and the 322 CI engine

I thought I answered your question but if you choose to give the floor to Bob, I'm ok with that. But nobody has even named the 4 barrel carburetor on the straight eight. Name it and the floor is yours.
Oh, never mind, I see he listed an earlier one than you new about, wait that was Rich?

Yep, Stromberg 4a Aeroquad. I honestly don't know who has the floor? Go for it Rich or Bob? I'm out, I'm gonna try to think up a good one. Nolan
