I don't even care what motor it fits, (that's a bonus) the brand name of this aftermarket Hot rod distributor is what I am after.

It looks like an early Scintilla-Vertex magneto, but it looks to have dual(?) coil plug holes, soooooooo

Nope, it's a distributor. And yes there is another "cap" just like that one on the other side.

Well thats a good one Brian, has me completely stumped, strange little beast indeed

looking at the plug wire terminal numbers has me thinking that its for a typical chevy with cyl # 1,3,5,7 all on the right side making for easy plug wire routing but there is no way that gear is going to be close to the cam gear so thats out

Distributor

Thats a Grant Spaulding Flamethrower. I'm pretty sure its for a Pontiac v8. They used two coils and functioned like two four cylinder distributors built into one. The rotors are kind of like a commutator ring that drug against the cap terminals when the ring was on its high side. Nolan

You got it on all accounts. My brother runs one in his Roadster with the Nailhead. It's your floor.

Good One

That was a good one Brian. I saw one somewhere a long time ago. Or maybe remembered it from old catalogs. I had to goggle hunt it to remember the name. I'm sorry, but I can't take the floor due to the surgery tomorrow. You take it or give it to anybody that has a good one they have been itching to post. Nolan

Good luck Nolan and I'll be saying a prayer for you. And if that doesn't work I'll have a shot of Whisky for you tonight. Hell, it worked for my Giants! I got a Giants shot glass the first game of the season and had a shot every once in a while using it and they won the World series. So now I just have to find the right shot glass. Car related, well, I have a Petersons Automotive museum and an NHRA one. Which one fits you best?

Pick One

I had a few when the Saints played the Seahawks, didn't change our luck at all. Pick one and go with it. Nolan

I don't want to steal the thread, but I would like to wish NOLAN the best.

Brian, I don't drink so if you don't mind I'd like you to have a drink from both glasses & that would be from both of us.
