An aluminum block? (This I had to google, sorry). Three of them were made to run on the narrow guage railroad!!!!!! Interesting stuff.

I don't know why this photo doesn't work.

I know that they were capable to be a rail car...But not sure if that was what you were going for...

It's funny, my history teacher in High school was from the Soviet Union and I never was a "model student"..so when he found out that I was into cars, he made an attempt to "connect" with me and told me all about the cars that he saw in his younger years...Then of course he made me write a report on soviet cars and how they played a part in history...He was a hard *****, but a good teacher...(still barely passed the class though).

ok, after more research, let me grasp for more straws...Please keep in mind, my Russian is weak, at best..lol

I saw that one of the cars (maybe the one in question) was actually front wheel drive, and they said that it could go over 550mm of water without it entering into the interior (which I think is just under a foot of water, right).. Anything on this answer??

Also found out that it was the first soviet car to have a "semiautomatic transmission”. The article that I was reading said it used a wet clutch that allowed the driver to shift gears without engaging the clutch.

Heck, even if I don't get this one, I'll more about this darned car!!

Maybe, I've done it wrong?
In that case, I repeat: scr8pin_f100 was right about semiautomatic transmission, and this is time for his question

When you said "That's one!" I thought it meant that you were looking for another answer as well.

Sorry.

Carry on scr8pin_f100.

ok, I am sure that people will know this, but I couldn't show proof for my original question that I was going to ask..

So here is my second choice...

What car manufacturer was formed as a result of certain actions of Henry Ford?

Bonus: For Whom was this manufacturer named?
