Nope, right country wrong reason. Not that I know of, I believe they were all chrome. Of course the brass is a part of the three step chroming process. But no, there is a distinct difference in the Australian body.

That's a Kelvin Waddington 34 Phaeton From the Kelvin Waddington ute Co.
It has a adjustable front seat, and the firewall is recessed 3".
It has a clear coated steel body, they are driving on the street rodder tour with Jerry Dixie.

I wasn't quite sure if it was a repop or original. If it's a repop I think it's cool that it has this Australian only feature.

Come on guys, look at photos of this body and US built ones. There is a VERY distinct difference. Of course it doesn't have red flags flying off it but it sure seems so once you know it. I was thumbing thru a StreetRod mag at the barber shop this past Saturday when I saw an Aussie Ford and I had to write a note so I wouldn't forget it here.

Look at those photos.

Brian, Are we talking re-pop body's or Henry;s body's, You can put anything you want on a re-pop, like I said this one in your picture is a re-pop and has a move able front seat. I don't follow phaetons so I don't know but that could be one.I would think others have the recessed firewall.
Are we looking for something that was on cars down there only and made by Ford.
Or just on re-pop cars, I just want to know which way to look,

Bob

The hood doesn't fold in the center? I have looked for a good half hour, 2 windows open, back and forth, I give up..

I would agree with dinger, but is he comparing a real ford to a re-pop, Waddington might have made the no-fold hood, where Henry didn't. My 33 is a one piece top hood.

Bob

But it your question Brian, your answer.
