Nope, right country wrong reason. Not that I know of, I believe they were all chrome. Of course the brass is a part of the three step chroming process. But no, there is a distinct difference in the Australian body.

I wasn't quite sure if it was a repop or original. If it's a repop I think it's cool that it has this Australian only feature.

Come on guys, look at photos of this body and US built ones. There is a VERY distinct difference. Of course it doesn't have red flags flying off it but it sure seems so once you know it. I was thumbing thru a StreetRod mag at the barber shop this past Saturday when I saw an Aussie Ford and I had to write a note so I wouldn't forget it here.

I've got it! Its the RF Fender - its there on the US ones and not on the Aussie ones!
