Here we go... Why were racers allowed to run an Olds-Cadillac four speed hydro-stick transmission in the '57 Chevy sedan deliveries, in NHRA stock classes??? |

35, Close enough for me, since I am relying on the memory of what I read in the sixties.
It was my understanding that it was an option actually offered in that body style. GM's reasoning was that the sedan delivery was meant as a commercial vehicle, and the stump-pulling low gear made sense as an optional transmission. If you have a trivia question, it's all yours. |
