What is the policy, if the winner doesn't post a question? I have a few that I could offer, if necessary.

First my disclaimer... I haven't read this whole thread. If a question has been posted before..... sorry. The accuracy of my info is "from memory". You have been warned. :-)

Here we go...

Why were racers allowed to run an Olds-Cadillac four speed hydro-stick transmission in the '57 Chevy sedan deliveries, in NHRA stock classes???

No responses yet? If nobody wants to try a guess, I'll post the answer.

35, Close enough for me, since I am relying on the memory of what I read in the sixties.

It was my understanding that it was an option actually offered in that body style. GM's reasoning was that the sedan delivery was meant as a commercial vehicle, and the stump-pulling low gear made sense as an optional transmission.

If you have a trivia question, it's all yours.

Jay I really don't know why I answered your question, I guess because I could. I have nothing but the computer to get a question, which makes it easy, my book is at home so I will let you ask another or Blue was here he can have it. Blue I will give you the floor.

Jay if Blue doesn't jump in take it.

Bob
