Rolls-Royce came to America in 1919 because of high tarrifs levied by the U.S. government. The first chassis was completed in 1920 in their plant in Springfield, Mass. Bodies where built at numerous coach builders. Bare chassis were driven from the plant to the coach shops. The most famous American Rolls was the " Brewster"

Your hints are intriguing if nothing else, I don't have a friggin clue! My wife and I play a game called "Frame game" in the Sunday paper, your hints reminded me of that.

Ok I'll give you their names. What could be easier than that?

Mr. Mushman and Kenny

( by the way, Mushman patented a variation of the transbrake) You Hot Rodders gotta know that!!

I just spent 6 hours on google and can't find a thing. I don't know about anyone else but I am dying to know what the answer is.

Give it up and ask another question.

Congratulations! You got it half right. You got who but you didn't get what. Here is my original question.

"What two car guys are connected by Winchester Fire Arms,William Faulkner and why"

The engraved knife doesn't quite match Winchester Fire Arms and William Faulkner.
Here is some more hints.

Faulkner was a very well known author. Some of his works have been made into movies. Winchester Fire Arms? Horses?

Come on redsdad your almost there!

As Bugs use to say, "Ain't I a stinker?"

Oh yeah, McQueen use to use Harvey Mushman as one of his aliases when he entered public events. Redsdad knew!
