Auto JEOPARDY

If there was an automobile version of Jeopardy about four of you guys would win the champion round! I am not in the same league with you but I do enjoy following, but I did know the 3 window versus 5 answer.

No guess without a Google. I am thinking 57 and that's why they made such a big change in 58 but that would make no sense being that design would have already have to have been in the works. I don't know, hmmm

Dan is correct. Ford produced about 150,000 more in '57. Where did they Go? This proves to me that: one "body by Fisher" really was better and two: the interchangeability of the small block Chevy v8 kept many cars on the road that would have been scrapped other wise. It hurts me to say all that. I am a Ford guy

Isn't it funny that the 55-57 Chevy actually lived on until 1982 with the Checker Taxi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Checker_Taxi

I knew that one already, had to google the production numbers. It's one of those trivia facts that stay with you forever, 57 was a spectacular year for all makes of American cars, IMO.

Recently there has been a bit of a controversy surrounding a custom car built for a TV series, this was recently exposed in a popular car magazine, why I do not know. Who is the builder, who claimed to be the builder, what car is it, and for extra points, what rag did this appear in?

Are we talking recently or was this car in a tv series years ago?

The car was in a TV series years ago, a one of a kind custom.

I am dying to see what this is. The only one that jumps out at me is the original Batmobile and whether or not it really was a Barris design or was it really a Ford "dream car". Hmmmmm

Sorry guys, I was away from the Computer-how about the Monkeemobile? Dean Jefferies built it, but you know who claimed it (George Barris)-I can't remember the Magazine though-

Close enough, Hot Rod this month did an expose', why I don't know, maybe an axe to grind and for that I will shoot them a butt chewing email. Jerks. George is old, his memory may not be that sharp but he did own the Monkeemobile and also commissioned the 3rd car. You're up, 35window.
